Round 3 of Strong winds.

Another front moving through tonight with some heavy rain and extreme winds again.

A cold front and associated low pressure trough approaching from the west will move across southern Victoria overnight and during Friday.

Damaging winds around 50 to 60 km/h with peak gusts of 90 to 100 km/h are forecast for parts of the Wimmera, North Central, North East, South West, Central, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland forecast districts.

The band of strong winds will develop in the west tonight before extending to central and eastern areas overnight and during Friday morning. Gusts to 110 km/h possible over the Alpine area. Wind gusts may reach 110 to 120km/h along the coast during Friday afternoon.
