David Jones wants a mature discussion about CO2, hurricanes and loaded dice.

We have loaded the dice. Hansen famously suggested 20 years ago we are all doomed if we dont get CO2 back below 350ppm.

David Jones says we have loaded the dice because we have added 1 degree C to the temperature of the Earth.

He also thinks that the Murray darling basin running low on water is rampant climate change in action.

So who loaded the dice for the Galveston hurricane in 1903? Was it your great granddad, cruising around in 4WD Ford Territory?

Did your great granddad leave his air con too long in 1903, because he was busy checking in on Facebook?

And what sort of moron would suggest this is caused by global warming, when another massive storm all occurred with CO2 at 310ppm?

If he wants a mature discussion, let’s have one. An open invitation.

Answer these questions.

Why, if we are loading the dice, is he driving a 4wd?

Why, if we are loading the dice, did the Galveston Hurricane in 1903 destroy half of civilisation at 297 ppm?

Why, if we are loading the dice, are hurricanes and cyclones declining in the last 17 years?

Why, if we are loading the dice, did the Murray run dry in 1914 in one of the worst droughts ever recorded? At 310 ppm?

Why, if we are loading the dice, are the BOM so afraid to reveal the codes used to adjust data?

Why, if we are loading the dice, do the BOM still use the 1961-1990 baseline, instead of 1980 – 2010?

Why, if we are loading the dice, is the climate refusing to warm despite biblical increases in Co2 since 1998?

It looks to me like Co2 has no influence on our climate and is a feedback.

The only thing not loaded is these people’s brains.
